Professor Abdurazaq Kilani

A Professor of Islamic Studies at the Department of Religious and Cultural Studies, University of Port Harcourt and a former Head of the Department (2003-2006). He obtained his B.A. (1986) and M.A(1989) Islamic studies at the University of Ilorin, Ilorin and his PhD in Religious Studies specializing in Islamic Studies from University of Port Harcourt in 1999. He joined the Department of Religious Studies of University of Port Harcourt as an Assistant Lecturer in 1992. He rose to the rank of lecturer II in 1996, Lecturer1 in 1999, Senior Lecturer in 2002 and Professor in 2009. He is the first Professor of Islamic Studies of the University, the first to be promoted Professor in that discipline in any university in the entire South-South geopolitical zone of Nigeria.
He has published many articles in local and international journals and contributed chapters to books for undergraduates. He is a Senior Fellow Centre for the Study of World Religions at Harvard University 2003, Fellow, Chartered Institute of Corporate Administration (FCAI), 2005 and Fellow, US Summer Institute (SUSI), University of California, Santa Barbara 2008.
He has served as External Examiner (for PhD students) at International Islamic University, Malaysia, Universities of Ibadan, Lagos State University (LASU) Ojo-Lagos and University of Calabar.
He is the Imam of University of Port Harcourt Muslim community since 1995 and also the Imam of a premier Muslim organization-Al-usrah Inc in Port Harcourt since 1994.

Ishaq Olanrewaju OLOYEDE

A Professor of Islamic Studies at the University of Ilorin and the immediate past Vice-Chancellor of the University. During his tenureof Vice Chancellor he bequeathed on the University of Ilorin human and materials resources legacies. He served the university of Ilorin as Director of Academic Planning and also Deputy Vice Chancellor(Academic) (2003- 2005) and Deputy Vice Chancellor (Administration) (2005-2007) of the same University. He is a fellow of the Islamic Academy of Cambridge, United Kingdom; Fellow, Academy of Entrepreneurship; Member, Nigerian Association of Teachers of Arabic and Islamic Studies (NATAIS); Member, Editorial Board, Centre for Islamic Legal Studies, ABU, Zaria, among, several others.
Between 1995 and 1998, he was National President of the Unilorin Alumni Association.He was appointed the co-Secretary of Nigeria National Political Reform Committee in 2005 and currently the Executive Secretary of Nigeria Inter-Religious Council (NIREC). He also served as the Chairman of Association of Vice Chancellors of Nigerian Universities.
He has published many articles in local and international journals. Professor Oloyede is very active in Muslim students’ activities as guest speaker and has influenced positively many young and educated Nigeria Muslims.

Yusuf Olaolu ALI (SAN):

Yusuf Ali is an eminent lawyer, a Notary Public and Senior Advocate of Nigeria. He is the Principal Counsel at Ghalib Chambers, one of the most prominent law firms in Nigeria. He has served as lead counsel in many high profile litigation cases in Nigeria. Yusuf has published some forty articles in various professional journals. He has also presented over seventy papers relating to the law profession. He holds leadership positions in several businesses, as well as professional bodies in Nigeria. Yusuf is also a renowned philanthropist.

Saka Adelola MATEMILOLA (PhD Cantab.):

Saka is Consultant Petroleum Engineer and a visiting scholar at the Institute of Petroleum Studies,University of Port Harcourt. Saka holds a PhD from University of Cambridge, UK.
He is a Fellow of Cambridge Philosophical Society and a registered engineer with the Council for Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN). A recipient of several academic and professional awards of excellence, Saka currently serves on the Board of Society of Petroleum Engineers International’s Distinguished Lecturers Committee.
He is also on the Board of Society of Petroleum Engineers, Nigeria Council. Saka is the Chairman, Board of Directors for City Roller Limited, as well as for Megayield Insurance Brokers Limited. He is also on the Board of Directors of several other companies, including charity foundations
